Description: One afternoon in August I was going particularly insane and lent out of the attic window. I closed my eyes and felt the warmth of the sun on my skin and felt an overwhelming sense of peace and belonging- which is odd for me. Something compelled me to then sit at my electric organ and compose a piece of music that harked back to this strange phenomenon, this calling I had to this thing I could only conceptualise as ‘The Cosmic Dance.’ And so I set my phone to record and just played something, and it felt so close to what I had felt that I didn’t change it.

Later that day I was preparing myself some ice cream and through the glutenous amount of syrup and sprinkles I saw it again- a reminder that we are always experiencing this thing called ‘the cosmic dance’ and that we are always home. I took a picture of it and heavily edited it until I had finally captured a picture of that space I had seen while leaning out the attic window. I then combined the picture with the music and it made me feel a way there is no human word for, and thus this rendition of ‘The Cosmic Dance’ came into existence through a bad phone recording and a picture of ice cream.

I am an artist and musician. I experiment with many different mediums and tools to transmit strange thoughts and visions into this plane of existence. I push buttons on my electric organ and heavily distort my art because it’s what I like to do. I want to bring back disco and make people happy. The focus of most of my work is capturing deep feelings of wonderment and otherworldliness, but also just to cut loose and have fun and remind people that nothing is really that serious in the end.
