title: dream dictionary
Medium: HTML web art
Description: Dream Dictionary is a playful web-based game that explores generational anxiety and insecurities felt by young women. In this artwork, I respond to a Dream Dictionary book gifted to me by my mother. Entering the space feels simultaneously relaxing and like an escape room, mirroring the experience of dream intense sleep. To create this atmosphere, I use the mediative scents from my mother, calming piano music, sensory lights, draping fabrics and, dramatic curtains. Each narrative tries to make sense of the dream meanings and my own insecurities, enticing you into the absurd dream world through the eclectic visual styles and interaction.
